Sweet malty and herbal, slightly floral hop aroma with shades of caramel. Bitter flavour, light to medium body, well-carbonated, crispy mouthfeel. The taste is initially malt-accented, slightly papery, getting more hoppier in the middle and finishes dry and bitter with herbal hops. Unspectacular, decent Pilsener. rickgordon (3304), Göteborg, Sweden

Golden colour. Flowery, light fruity nose. Dry bitter-ish backbone. Light bodied. Papery, bitter finish. Drinkable, but oh so average German Style Pils. TheBeerLover (1019), DC Metro Area, USA
| 4.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 17/20 | Jan 28, 2006 This beer is a crisp, clean delicious pils, with good hop aromas and flavors, and bitterness, on a very drinkable body. After a day of sight seeing in Munich, this was the perfect beer to sit down and relax with, and one that would work very well with a number of Bavarian dishes.
Braumeister Pils pours to a beautiful, bright, pale golden color with a thick white head, and a good bit of carbonation. The nose on this beer is outstanding with lots of good herbal/grassy hop aroma. The palate is very crisp with a firm pilsner malt flavors, on a very round, smooth body. Braumeister Pils finishes with more crisp malt flavor up front, then ends with a snappy herbal hop bite that lingers on the tongue.
This is a very well done Pils, with just the right amount of hop character. It is a delicious beer, one perfect to rouse the appetite before a nice meal, and would be a great beer to match with hearty, traditional Bavarian fare, which there is no shortage of in Munich. If you ever take a trip to Munich, I highly recommend a trip to any outlet that serves up Hacker-Pschorr beers. Braumeister Pils is a great beer to start your HP experience with. THe aroma is malty with strong notes of yeast - a little weird in a pilsener. The flavor is plainly malty. Nothing special. motelpogo (4394), Plzen, Czech Republic
