Bready, buttered toffee, and spiced banana aroma. Full clove flavour wraps up sweet banana malts, lightly honey hops, and a subtle citrus tang into a tasty package. Long, sourish finish that is slightly acidic, but pleasant no less. Solid Dunkel. zach8270 (2135), Henrietta, New York, USA

Malty and wheaty aroma with a mix of citrus and other fruits. Good malt taste with a citrus hint and a chewy, biscuity finish. Very well balanced. DocLock (4648), Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA

| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Jun 12, 2004 Cloudy red brownish with nice head and lacing. Great clove/banana nose. Kind of chalky finish. Not as much flavor as the nose suggests. Not a great beer but not bad. HopsOrDie (687), New Lenox, Illinois, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jun 4, 2004 Cloudy light brown pour with little to no head. Aroma is yeasty and clove. Flavor is similar to the hefe, with lots of clove and malty. Not as much dark malt flavor as the appearance suggests. SubstanceT (1090), Saint Louis, Missouri, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | May 30, 2004 Rusty copper in colour with no head. The nose is lots of yeasty and wheaty with lots of grains. Same goes for the taste, it smells as it tastes. The yeast is just a bit harsh. But, whatever its not that bad I guess. | 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 10/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | May 7, 2004 This was my first favorite beer. Smells so good. I love sour things: vinegar, pickles, yeasty sourdough. This beer is brilliantly sour. I am big on the olfactory senses. Beer looks watery and is watery but doesn’t taste watered down. It simply isn’t very cloudy...something I personally like in a wheat beer. On the tounge, it dissipates and is as carbonated as other wheats. Tastes very fruity. Catching hints of apricot and raisin...but really carbonated ones. Aftertaste is dry and refreshing. Good brew. better on tap than in the bottle in my opinion...a rarity from my mouth.
Drink it!!!!
