Medium dark and cloudy with mammoth rocky head. Aroma is spicy with clove dominating over wheat malt and yeast. Medium bodied and smooth with no noticable bitterness. Flavor is of roasted wheat malt which is on the sweet side. Overall not a bad Dunkel.

Disappointing. I had read good things about HP and this was my first taste. I have another HP, hoping for better results. Overall taste and aftertaste...salty and bitter. Left me very dry and, perish the thought, in need of some water. Aroma unimpressive, appearance likewise. I will steer clear of this in the future.

Wow, why can't all wheat beers taste this good. Nice head which dissipates to decent lacing with minimal carbonation. Aroma is not as strong as a normal wheat beer. The sickly/sweet grassy aroma is not as prominent. There is some wheat, though, with a little clove presence. Color is a medium, cloudy amber. Flavor is quite smooth and sits well in the stomach (in mine, at least, unlike some other wheat beers). Flavor is slightly sweet with honey, wheat and some malt. Finish is pretty clean with a lingering wheat aftertaste but not strong. A very good variation on the traditional wheat beer.

I'm most partial to the Hefe-Weisse, but this goes down good, has a good alcohol kick to it, and just tastes good.

Wheat, bananas and cloves, cloudy brown, huge wheat sheaf head. Bananas and malt flavours? Medium bodied. A good beer, but I like the Hefe weisse a bit more.

Oh sweet caramel and root vegetables, remind me of Eastern earthy soils - take me back to buttered bread and turnips and nuts; creamy, delightful, and with a minimal hop close. Darn good, slightly more crisp and voila, and I'd have my name all over this one!
