Jul 3, 2005 I’ve had terrible versions of this beer... usually oxidized bottles that have been in ship/warehouse too long. However, fortunate enough to have tried Hacker-Pschorr Dunkle Weisse at the Hacker Haus in Munich. It was THE very best I’ve ever tried. We couldn’t stop ordering them. The balance and freshness was outstanding. Prosit!

Feb 9, 2003 Updated: Jul 10, 2003I know it as Weisse dark. Great beer. Near perfect in fact. Not better then the regular weisse but almost equally fantastic this has such a great flavor. Weisse beer is so good and this is similer to the Weihenstephaner dark.

Aug 8, 2002 Great dark weiss beer! Nice taste & body. Some dry after taste almost a bitter one. All around good brew!

Feb 22, 2006 Amber, honey brown in color. Full weisse nose. Medium nectar with no medicinal flavors, damn! I want medicine. This seems to be the signature here with old Hacker-slag.....no medicine. Ahhh farg off will ya ! I would have given it a perfect score if she were even slightly medicinal. Oh well, it’s a great specimen just of a different character. Well ballanced with a nice smooth finish. Highly recommended.

Oct 29, 2003 Nice dark wheat with a soft creamy head. Unfortunately, I was eating a meal with this one. I'll definately have this one again in a meal of its own!
