Aus der flasche @ Viktualienmarkt bier garten, mitte München, Germany.
A side of otherwise lovely foreign spades, a tour about to start in 3 minutes, a lot of Aussie folk in the beer garden asking about the German language, why Germans don’t speak English, the distance between Mars and your anus, why we were born, ahahhaaaaahhh!, I need a beer!?! A quick serve café it might well have been - don’t know what to order, then don’t order, systematisch Deutsch. It works. "Ein bockwurst mit brötchen und eine flasche H-P Edel hell mit glas, bitte dank?" Served and sorted I made my way back to that strange ’totem poll’ adjoining the garden and Enjoyed my last 90 seconds.
Pours a medium, dull gold and bright. Carbonation was soft, head was ill supplied and it lasted point 5 minutes once my Bockwurst riddled grinning lips met the glass. Aroma of simple honey, clean grains, maybe some musty, cracked bird-seed. Flavour keeps parallel to that aroma. The grains here dominate masking the sweetness I’d guess would haunt one tasting it warm. Simple dusty malt flavour, very little hops show. Crisp in back, all malt again on the acme, with a watery backdrop that does not complete it, and does little to compliment. It’s rather bland - even after being skolled back in finishing my lunch this failed to even refresh me, a still wasser was needed. Average at best. The tour had started...

Very smooth and easily drinkable. Doesn’t distinguish itself, very neutral...which is not a bad thing at all. I dont like using the word refreshing, but its the only one that stands out when it comes to this beer.

Golden color, cloudy, with a moderate head. Smells of hops, amlt, and a little wheat. Nice beer, well balanced with good flavor. Clean and crisp. A great choice.

Sampled by bottle in October, along with another Hacker-Pschorr brew. The beer had an average, plae head and went down smooth and wet. It had a light-medium body with light fizzyness. Rich malty aroma, with good floral/herb hops; a solid beer.

Golden coloured, the head is creamy but disappears quickly. The aroma is too light with some herbal and bread aroma. The taste is sweet for the malt, but the hop presence is good and gives the beer a good balance and aftertaste. Not outstanding but an enjoyable example of the style.

Sample from a bottle at Binny’s "Fall Festival of BEERS." Spicey, interesting flavor for something this wheaty-light. Clean golden color.
