Ahhhh that edel helles aroma is there in spades. Pungent bready-sweet aroma mingles with the herbal-citrus tones from the noble hops ....biscuits with honey and lemon is the impression of this aroma profile.
Mouthfeel is soft mineral and medium-light bodied.
Front end is a rush of big clean grains and breadyness where the citrusy-leafy nobel hops sit in the background. Mid way you taste a light sweet citrus decernment along with the light bready malts then the finish comes up clean with a nice clean citrus-biscuit snap at the end and a light bready-sweet after taste.
If someone wants to know what a Munich edelhell tastes like simply tell them it tastes like Hacker-Pschorr Edelhell....they set the standard for this biscuit with lemon and honey light lager style...in all it’s smooth, subtle drinkable, malt-accented glory! SSSteve (2096), Atlanta, Georgia, USA

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | May 8, 2006 Pale yellow, minimal head and carbonation. This beer comes across as well balanced and proportional. Bready malts give way to a slightly dry hop bitterness. I enjoyed the simplicity of this beer, and that is where it seems to shine. manuchampions (126), Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Mar 28, 2006 Hazy lemony yellow, effervescent head. Fruity aroma, like cranberries or pomegranate, with some bready sweetness. Sweet malt, a little bready, with a decently bitter finish to add excellent balance. I’m no expert with this style, but I know that I really liked this. JohnnyOS (646), Golden, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Mar 17, 2006 Pours a light hazy yellow with white head that disappears before you even finish pouring. Lemon zest, grassy, hops & malt aroma. Crisp lemony flavor with a nice bready sweetness and good hop presence. Slightly bitter finish but very good. Me thinks I’ll have another! Aromas of fresh lemon zest, hay, grass, and malt/hops combo. Crisp grassy lemon flavours combine with a mild bready sweetness to balance well. Smooth finish, with little ingering bittness. This is a great beer for the summer I imagine. Not too much to it, but I think that is where it wins. Decent all around. ehhdayton (1115), USA
