If you’re an American buying expensive imported beer, choose wisely. This is a litte stickier than most mass produced American crap, but with no better flavor. Corny.

This is another Christmas 2005 beers. I tried to learn more about the Brewery but the site was all in German. There was little head formation and what formed quickly dissipated. The color was coppery and with great clarity. There was no robust flavor. It did not have complex flavors. It would be an excellent drinking beer at bars and other functions.

Classic German aroma that has floral hops and is very malty. The appearance is golden and the head leave a lot of lacing. The flavor is ok but it has a paper/cardboard taste I am not in love with. But, otherwise it’s the typical bread like malt and medium bitterness. Average palate and typical aftertaste for the style. Overall I find it drinkable but maybe just a little stale.

Pours a light golden yellow color huge frothy white head and some visable carbonation. Some sweet malts and yeast a bit of raw stale grain smell some eggs. Avg palate some decent coating. FLavor isn’t half bad light sweet bready dough yeast hints of maybe honey a bit stale in the finish. Odd to say the least.. not bad but not good either.

On tap at Beer Bistro, Toronto. Incredibly clear golden color, white head. Tinges of sweet malt in the aroma with a touch of earthy hops. Flavor starts out malty, fading into those earthy hops, which have taken on a somewhat dirty flavor. Pleasant light body. Decent.

This is not bready enough to be a dortmunder and way too sweet to be a helles. This is a complete miss.

Bottle: Medium-sized, fluffy head, lacing, straw- golden coloured; grainy and a bit alcoholic nose; mild, slightly sweetish flavour; slightly bitter and a bit tart fruity finish; medium bodied; O.K., not very impressive, but better than the average bavarian Hell.............

decent beer -- very subtle, easy drinking brew -- straw to golden in color thick foamy head although it dissipates quickly and a hint of pepper and lightly hoppy notes. I could drink a ton of this -- in fact I drank about 3 of the six I bought before I knew it. Great session brew although I doubt I’d spend $9 for a sixer again.
