| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 13/20 | Feb 11, 2007 355 bottle. poured gold with a healty, lasting white head. Smells a bit more yeast than i would have expected given the clear color. First taste is ok but surprises me a bit due to the watery texture and light, mild flavor. The finish is gone before I can get a sense of it. Too bad, Hacker is one of my favorite brands for Weiss. The bottle says it was brewed almost a year ago so that might explain a lot. I’ll see if I can find something a bit more recent than 11 months old. I’m not ready to give up on this one yet. probstk (1064), Nepean, Ontario, Canada

App.: medium straw with a small white head.
Aroma: light cereal and bread, a hint of floral, herbaceous hops. Pretty weak.
Palate: fairly thin body, lively carbonation.
Flav.: green cardboard, little else. A touch of hops to finish. Maybe this one’s a bit old??
This would probably be nice fresh and in 1 L servings, say in a Bierhalle…

| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jan 15, 2007 Bottle. I was expecting a boring lager but this was a decent brew. Nothing memorable but it was a refreshing and nicely hopped beer. mgermani (865), Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada
| 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 7/20 | Jan 15, 2007 Poured a clear urine-yellow with a healthy looking white head. Aroma of corn & sharp hops. Very bland malting, no character. Quick acting hops with no endurance and a breakfast-cereal sweetness in the aftertaste. Thin body, withering aftertaste. I drank this beer so I could re-use the bottle. Palidor19 (1792), Brandon, Florida, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Dec 31, 2006 A nice beer to ring in the new year. the first sip is of malts and honey. taste is quite smooth. not overwhelming but still packs a punch. The malts are all around the beer yet the hops are on the sidelines. chriso (4852), London, Greater London, England
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Dec 30, 2006 Draught (from a wooden cask) at Kobehavnske Oldage, May 2006. Straw colour. Creamy and smooth with lots of bready malt and just a touch of grassy hop. A pleasant enough, middle of the road beer that drinks perfectly well but doesn’t impose its personality to any great extent.

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Dec 28, 2006 Bottle pours a clear pale yellow body with a small white head. Retention is fair with some patchy chain lacing. Subtle aroma of toasty grain, wet hay, and spicy hops. Very well balanced taste of bready malt, biscuit, spicy hop bitterness, and a vague fruitiness. Musty grass notes seem out of place. Light medium body and good balance result in a very poundable lager.
