Pours cloudy burnt orange with a 2 finger that fades quickly to a .5 finger and lasts. Aroma is yeast, banana, clove, lemon and a little wheaty/bready and sweet malt. Flavor is lots of sweet citrus, at first, a little pineapple, banana, spicy hops, and a little sweet bread. FInish is clean, with some cloves, wheatberry bread, and a little citrus. Body is medium with what is probably too much carbonation. Overall one of the best hefe’s though not my favorite style.

12 oz bottle. Pours a cloudy gold, with a thin white head. No lacing. Aroma is light with a strong clove profile. A bit of banana and wheat. Flavor is a bit more pronounced with some grapefruit and lemon/lime finish. Palate is a bit fizzy, but heavier than I expected. Overall a very good Hefe.

Bottle, shared by MissDolle. A hazy, orange beer with a white head. Banana and cloves in the aroma, with grains in the background. The aroma is much the same banana, cloves and grains, but also has a nice bitterness. Medium full, effervescent and dry. Cloves, fruit and bitterness in the finish. A really well-crafted hefeweizen, easy to drink, and refreshing. (080823)
