I’m a sucker for a good Hefeweizen. Had this one in Rothernburg Germany and brought the glass home as a souvenir. Had it with a plate of weinershnitzel with an appetizer of escargot. Incredible combination of flavors for the whole meal.

bottle at Market Cross, Shippensburg: pours typical cloudy with fluffy white head that stays well. aroma is quity wheaty and remincent of whole wheat bread to me. also a prominent clove aroma and subdued banana. flavor is bready and yeasty with some clove flavor. well carbonated and creamy in the mouth. good weise

On tap at The Spotted Hog in New Hope PA. Nice hazy pour with a decent size foamy head. Great aroma of wheat and a few other things including banana and clove. Taste is of wheat, citrus a bit of lemon. Really good Hefe. Very refreshing. Would like to try it again in the bottle to see if I truely do like this beer. But on tap at this place it was great.

hazy orange hue with a medium sozed white head, which had mild retention. Aroma was a mix of bread notes and some fruit notes. Flavor was very lemony almost too sour at times, some nice bread notes though but not enough.

Had numerous times. Pours hazy golden with fluffy white head. Aroma is bready and wheat. Flavor is bready with hits of citrus and spices. Not a big fan of hefewizens but this one is pretty good.

next to franziskaner, my #1 session beer. reeks of typical weizen aromas. i feel my low rating is unfair considering how much of this i drink, but im trying to keep it all in perspective. far from the world’s greatest weizen, but one of the best available mainstream in america.

Pours super foamy white head and clear orange color. Very very doughy aroma and taste. Some banana and lemon zest as well. Had this and paulaner weise within a day of one another and paulaner was much much better. If you have the similar choice, pass on this one.
