orange gold with a medium dense fluffy head. aroma of yeast and citric cloves. smooth body and highly carbonated. light honeyed yeast flavor with apples and cloves, and a light bitterness. the beer has a slight bittersweet dry finish. good beer if you dont like lots of banana in your hefeweizens

12 ounce bottle in weizen glass. Cloudy orange with dense off-white head and lace. Aroma dominated by banana esters. Very light flavor of wheat, grass, honey-orange. Slight bitter aftertaste. Not unpleasant at all, just not very flavorful. Refreshing.

Bottle, born in Feb 2007 split with Tronraner in a blind hefeweizen tasting. Pours a rich orange with a decent head. Yeah, it’s pretty cloudy. There’s a bit less depth here than what I just experienced (turns out that was the Weihenstephaner), but it’s still aromatic. I picked up a bit more citrus here with less spices (except clove) and banana, though those were still definitely present. Clove is way up front in this one. This was a fairly juicy take on the style with hints of apples and a moderately dry finish. Not a huge amount of complexity here, but it is a solid representation of the style.

Solid weiss - yeasty, cloudy and a bit of spice. Not as much spice as others, and maybe a bit thicker than some others. Drinkable and solid brew, just other better ones readily available.

Classic Weisse with a slightly bitter aftertaste. Beautiful gold color with a very thin off-white head that quickly disappears. Nice fruity taste.

500 mL bottle. Pours a hazy orange. Aroma includes orange peel, lots of banana, and yeast. Flavour had a tart, citrusy character with banana and a few pangs of yeast. Top notch.

Drank from the bottle. Aroma speaks of banana, pineapple, almonds and faint yeast. The flavour is also centred around the banana. This centrepiece gives way to a slightly bitter sodium-celery quality. While the beer is medium to heavy bodied, I cannot help but find it watery -- the taste is not nearly as full as the aroma. Sourdough bread was left on my breath after each sip. The aftertaste is short lived. An interesting beer, but the lack of power in its flavour is a tad frustrating. Appearance rating taken from my first crack at tasting this one.

Poured from a 500ml bottle into a tall weizen glass. This hefeweizen poured a cloudy, dark yellow color with a foamy off-white head that slowly faded away. Some faint lacing was left around the glass. The aroma of this beer was made up of spicy yeast esthers, light citrus, banana, and some sour dough bread. The flavor included banana, orange peel, clove, and bread notes. The mouthfeel was medium-bodied and refreshing with average carbonation. This beer is a fine example of a classic style. Very enjoyable!!!
