Very spicy nose with clove dominating the citrus and wheat. Lemon with some grassy notes as well. Flavor is rather malty with a good deal of wheat present, though. Strong citrus flavor with some clove but not nearly as much as the nose. Bitter hops tighten up the back of the mouth towards the end. Palate is a bit thin, almost watery. Not quite enough body. doubleipa (224), Georgia, USA

Aroma is heavier on clove than some other hefe’s. It also had a little more of a hint of hope/citrusy. Taste had a little more of a bit than some others and more of malt presence. Definitley a decent hefe, but not quite as good as some others. MoreHead (355), Minnetonka, Minnesota, USA

Starts outs very doughy then becomes frutier with hints of banana and strong lemon. Carbonation is robust, mildly bitter. Well balanced. mtdshn (174), Moline, Illinois, USA

Scents of wheat, yeast, some sourness. Taste is smooth with some smoky notes, with a slight citrus bite. Nice mouthfeel. pivnizub (5002), Bochum, Porúří, Germany
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Aug 25, 2006 Bottle: Orangey coloured, hazy, medium-sized creamy head; citrus-fruity, a bit yeasty nose; sweetish flavour, covering a bit of sourness, medium bodied, soft MF, light oily texture; zesty, fruity finish with a light tartness. A very pleasant, well rounded - almost "clove-free" - Weizen ! jcr (1150), Jasper, Indiana, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Aug 24, 2006 Hazy golden-yellow beer with thin, disappearing white head. The aroma is average in intensity and filled with grain and straw malts, grassy hops, dough, banana, citrus and apple. Nicely sweet for a hefe with a light bitterness at the finish. The beer presents more grain as it warms. The palate was clean with fizzy carbonation. Solid wheat beer.
