Bottle. Cloudy golden with a huge off white head. Classic German Hef banana/clove aroma with wheat bread and light spiciness. Big bready malt flavor with a yeasty sourness and a light hop bitterness. Smooth, soft mouth feel, almost creamy. Each drink makes you want more. This is an excellent German Hef, can’t really see any way to improve this one.

Hazy light amber color with a viscous tan head. Aromas of clove, banana, peppercorn. Smooth medium body. Nice tart wheat flavors with strong banana and clove. Good hefe here.

This is the Hefeweizen that made me fall in love with this style. Strong banana/yeast aroma with a hint of citrus that becomes very noticeable when it is tasted. Appearence is very typical of all Hefeweizens but where it distinguishes itself from others is the flavor and palate. The citrus/banana mix is perfect and really compliments the strong yeast aroma. It has a frizzy texture because of the carbonation but finishes smooth. There’s a lot going on very subtlety and it leads to a great experience. My favorite Hefeweizen.

Multiple tastings. A benchmark wheat beer if there ever was one. Have tasted many of these and, although not my favorite style, have always enjoyed.
