bottle. bottle labeld Munich Gold finest lager. Don’t know if this is it or not? Smelled like bananas and skunk piss. Gold in color. Lots of carbonation. small white head. Flavor of Budweiser. very gritty mouth feel. BLahg! I don’t like this stuff. AT ALL.

12 ounce bottle in pint glass. Gold with white head. Very faint honey and hop aroma. Honey sweetness with dry noble finish. Typically Bavarian, but not one of the special ones. Medium-light body, medium carbo. Ok.

Tap at the Plattdeutsche: Pours golden with a creamy white head. Bready, slightly buttery malt aroma. Nice rounded texture with a slightly doughy maltiness upfront which turns more into a crusty bread character and a mild hop spice note later on. A classic German Lager which I can session all day.

Bottle - Grassy, doughy aroma. Great clarity. This is a very, very solid beer. Light malty body with slight hints of dough and tobacco. A sharp perfectly bitter finish. Surprised by the low ratings.

Golden in color with a ok head. Wheat in the smell and taste. Light hop aroma and light hop flavors with slight malty sweet tones.

Bottle, ’Produced on 09/07’ on label and label reads ’Munich Gold’ not Muchener Gold, pours a straw yellow gold with a good size white head that colapses quickly to a slight covering and ring in the glass, some effervescence in this brew that pretty much lasted til the end, leaves some soap suds lacing on the glass, malt and some sweet aromas, faint bread and grain fragrances, not much hop fragrance to be found, has a dry malt flavor with little malt sweetness, there is a flavor that resembles their Octoberfest Beer, maybe both of these beers have the same yeast? And just like their Octoberfest beer this beer has malt flavor with little sweetness which I describe as a dry malt recipe beer, has a small hop bite that is in the background, I suppose this falls into the Helles catagory more then the Dortmunder, has a medium mouth feel maybe a tad thinner, a nice easy drinking lager.

12 oz bottle as Munich Gold. Something of a floral hop over grain aroma. Tarnished gold color with a white head that ringed at once. Flavor is grainy, a little sweet, and not wholly balanced by grassy hop. A very clean beer. The hop builds in the finish, and it’s a decent drink. Reminds me of my memories of the Oly of decades ago. Must be the hop level. Wouldn’t be the Tumwater. Wish the rating had come out higher, but ...

Tallahassee, Fl. - Leon Pub - 12 oz bottle - labeled "Munich Gold". Pours a sparkling light golden with a soapy white head - decent lacing. Slightly grainy aroma - hard to pick up in the smoke. Flavor has some honey sweetness, a bit of corn cereal, some toasted bread notes with a slightly buttery finish. Full, even, clean mouthfeel - stays strong to the finish. Pretty solid.
