12 oz bottle purchased at the beer run in Chattanooga. Poured a clear gold color with a two finger white head that quickly dissipated into a thin white film. Aroma was grainy with grassy notes. The flavor was mainly a malt note, with a hint of citrus. The palate was average with good carbonation, a clean mouthfeel and a medium/light body. Overall not a bad brew.

Bottle – label says Munich Gold Finest Lager. Pours a clear yellow with a one finger head that faded into a thin white topper that leaves spotty lacing. The nose is grassy hops and sweet grains. The taste is honey and grain with a light citrus hop finish. Medium mouth feel. Not bad, easy drinker.

Deep burnished golden with a big sudsy white head showing decent retention and leaving some early lace. Clean grainy aroma with soft floral and grassy hop undertones. Clean pale malts, biscuity and slightly papery. Finish is soundly bitter and dry. Carbonation is crisp and brisk. An excellent lager that was the perfect companion to my meal of salty/spicy lamb sausages.

Light golden color. Two fingers of puffy white head. Spott lacing. Strong corn aroma. Taste is more bad corn sweetness, offensive herbal bitterness.

12oz, 07/08 production, in bordeaux glass. Pours brilliant gold with medium white head. Rich malt nose, a wisp of noble hops, and the faintest vanishing skunkiness. Malty, crackery, and hints of green herbs - avoids that mealy legume thing that a lot of Pils-based beers can have. Clean and balanced. This will become my source of at-home Hellesy goodness since Spaten Premium is a green-bottle mess.

Bottle. Pours clear yellow with a small, rocky, white head, somewhat diminishing with fair lacing. Aroma is heavy malt (grain, hay, straw, meal), average hops (flowers, grass), heavy yeast (sweat, earth, musty) with notes of potato. Light bodied, mineral texture, average carbonation, and a bitter finish. Average duration, light sweetness and acidity, moderate bitterness.
