This bottled brew from the Landidyll-Hotel in Garmisch-Partenkirchen Germany poured a large sized head of foamy finely sized off-white colored mostly diminishing bubbles that left behind a carbonated transparent brown colored body and a poor lacing. The aroma was a mild brown malt one. The mouth feel was initially tingly mildly vinous and finished with a mild caramel malt note. The flavor contained semi sweet notes of brown and caramel malts. leaparsons (4743), Leicester, Leicestershire, England

Aromas are toffe and fruit malts, especially berries. Flavours are sweet toffee malts, chocolate and berries. Very smooth with more chocolate than I first though. Some dry hops on finish followed by a good level of bitterness. Went down nicely. baseballguy (246), Green Bay, Wisconsin, USA

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Dec 4, 2003 Attractive, translucent, reddish brown color with a generous amount of finely beaded bubbles. Tasting confirmed the malt and chocolate aroma. A noticeable sweet caramel flavor makes itself noticed soon after. Smooth hop finish. skortila (2905), Bunnik, Netherlands

Brown/red coloured, not much head. Taste consists of malts, hopbitter and fruits. Clean, bit bitter palate. caesar (3034), Bunnik/Utrecht, Netherlands
