Commercial Description:
Dark in color, malty nose, generous flavor; yet with a clean, hoppy finish, Hacker-Pschorr Alt Munich Dark is the essence of dark beers.

Draft. Not my favorite style as the taste is both dry and on the sweet side. Anise, burnt caramel and dried cherry. The flavor aren’t all that bad individually but dont mesh all that well.

Tap at the FW Saucer O-fest. I simply could not smell this, but my girlfriend said it smelled like dogfood. Light caramel and toast flavor, with some light overripe fruit notes. Same flavor to the finish pretty much, really light toast and fruit. Very subtle, and the subtleness lost me a bit.

On Tap, true amber, clear with nice contrast of white thick head. Aroma is faint, almost nonexistant, but pleasant. Palate is terrific, creamy, light-medium body. Taste is of sweet bready malt, nuts and just a bit of hops and some grass. Overall, quite good for gulping down with some german fare. Yum.

Chestnut-coloured, dark; creamy & cream-coloured middled, fine head. Toasted & caramel, waffles-syrup and ever so slightly nutty. Soft sweet taste with again sweet-nutty & bready notes. Bit empty finish, however, caramel/Münich malts. Very slightly burning MF, very slight slickness, light body. Rather bread’nbutter Dunkel - just OK.

Dark brown colored with red hints, huge light brown head. Sweet, only mildly roasted aroma, caramel also present. Medium bodied. Flavor is also very sweet with thin roastiness and caramel, not very rich dunkel. Aftertaste still turns to better one with some nutty toffee tone.
