The draft list simply called this Hacker-Pschorr Alt. Coppery body. Small tanned head. Aroma is toasted caramel, malts, bready notes and light grass. Taste is more toasted caramel, sweet malts, dark bread, and grass. Body is medium and mildly carbonation. Creamy and easy to drink, really. Finished with more caramel, bready malts, some fruit and softer grass. Not bad! robinvboyer (1442), Sturgeon Falls, Ontario, Canada
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jul 6, 2007 Wow, the description sums this up perfectly, a really nice malty nose, kinda bready also, and the hops come through in the finish. This is such a nice crisp beer. Pretty light for a dark beer, once again, Hacker nails it, one of my fav germany breweries. Cornfield (4972), Oak Forest, Illinois, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | May 21, 2007 This pours a dark reddish brown with a slender tan head. The aroma is sweet and malty, lightly roasted, with some molasses added just for snicks. The sweet malts continue on into the flavor, sadly unchecked by any hops. Not bad, but too much would make my teeth ache.
