| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Oct 6, 2007 Bottle from Munich supermarket during the Fest. Red brown colour. Quick-receding head. Caramelised and darker than the other Oktoberfest beers I tried. Quite good. Some fruit, some caramel. Little bit spicy and clean finish. ekstedt (2456), Göteborg, Sweden
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Oct 5, 2007 Draught. Clear copper with a medium off-white head. Fruity, nutty, slightly roasted aroma, with some herbal hops. Medium bodied with smooth mouthfeel. Great balannce; some initial malt sweetness followed by a gentle earthy bitteress. Oktoberfest does not get any better than this. bhensonb (4392), Woodland, California, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Oct 4, 2007 Aroma of caramel malt and apple? Amber color with a white head that was respectable and laced in a mild way. A bit thin bodied, and mild, crunchy carbonation with apple flavor? Grape? Some kind of light fruit. Verly slightly sweet. Floral hop really makes this nice. It is just so clean and refreshing. Very tasty. rgbrock1 (3), East Windsor, Connecticut, USA does not count | 4.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 5/5 | 10/10 | 5/5 | 20/20 | Oct 3, 2007 One of the best out of Germany. Having lived there for 12 years I can well relate to this beer having drank it for 6 Oktoberfests in Munich. The taste is excellent. Nothing bad to say about this brew. | 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Oct 2, 2007 Not a bad beer. Starts with lively carbonation coupled with a sweet maple-like sugar malt flavor nicely balanced by the floral but not too bitter hops. The malt has a slight amaretto-like almond taste to it. I would say this is the best of the NEPA case split this month so far. Quake1028 (633), Tampa, Florida, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Oct 1, 2007 12oz bottle. Pours a orange hued amber body with a 2 finger, lasting soapy white head. Pretty good lacing as well for the style. Aromas of pears, apple skins, sweet malts and cereal grains. No hops noticeable to me on the nose. Flavor is very sweet, too much so, grains and malts, no hop backbone or anything else to offset. Medium bodied, medium-high carbonation. Heavy astringency. Sticky sweet palate. Finish is slightly bitter, finally the hops show up, but it’s too late. Just not for my tastes. NachlamSie (1657), Tennessee, USA
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Oct 1, 2007 Draught. Pours a see-through copper with a small white head. The nose has hints of apple, paper, wood, and sugar. This is a very sweet Oktoberfest. I don’t get a lot of hops or leafy notes in the flavor. I get a lot of sugary apple juice. This gets sticky after while. This was not my favorite brew ever.
