Fruity aroma with a grape and plum taste. A little spicy on the tongue and fairly smooth going down. Leaves a warm feeling in my belly. A nice fall beer. Flavor was slightly watered down to make it a great beer. Goodgrief (1161), Middletown, Delaware, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Sep 3, 2007 Beer poured with dark golden color with small head and little lacing. Aroma was malty. The taste of this was quite pleasant with almost a perfect blend of spices and malt. It was a little short on the mouthfeel...almost a tad flat. Could have used a little more carbonation or some more hops to make this a better brew. jason (1624), Easton, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Sep 3, 2007 Bottle. Pours a deep amber body with nice head. Aroma is pleasant, sweet maltiness. Flavor is smooth, sweet malt is dominating the taste, light creaminess to it and a very smooth creamy mouthfeel. The flavor seemed to slowly slide down my tongue. This was quite a surprise. Best Marzen I ever had! kp (8500), Woodstock, Georgia, USA

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Aug 31, 2007 An extremely well balanced O/M. One of the best. Aroma pretty strong...sticky malt all the way and nothing else. The appearance was better than that of any O/M that I’ve had. Big 2 finger off white head and a nice dark amber color. Taste was very pure....fizzy malt and decent carbonation. Not too extreme and mellow in the flavor category which can be good. I was expecting a mind blower and got a very good. Still came out OK as far as I’m concerned.
