Pours orange-amber into a shaker. Fluffy medium head leaves no lacing as it recedes. Malty Okto aromas. Upfront sweet caramel with a bitter, lasting finish turns back to malt. Medium bodied and well balanced.

Clear orange, creamy off white head. Nose held notes of toasted toffee chips, with soft touches of dark fruit, grains, biscuit. Upon warming, just a faint herbal tone appears too. Authentic German flavors that remain toasty, lightly bready, with faint raisin tones. Medium bodied, medium carbonation, drying toasty finish. Not a favorite style, but this was quite nice...

I’ve waited a pretty long time to taste a hacker. Actually, I’ve been waiting for a kristel, dunkle weiss or a weiss bock, but this came around first. On the bottom left hand corner of the label it says ’OK+’ ! Do you know about the German purity law of 1516? It must be a good law, because this is good beer. When it hits your togue there is a slight flavor of hops, but very litlle, if any hop bitterness. How refreshing! The finish lacks the lasting bitterness of boiled hops that everyone else around here is so proud of, and I’m glad of it. I have visions of a pretty frua-lien in a long red skirt with only a bustenhalter, holding my beir while she is riding toward me on a big black horse, side-saddle!! I eagerly anticipate my next hacker. Not dissapointed. This is not yer typical pale yellow american style beer by any means.

12 oz Bottle: Pours a reddish amber color with a small soapy white head. Aroma is pumpkin, orange, lightly hopped, yeast, and sticky bread with a bit of sugar. Taste is nice roasted maltiness to it, with some definite caramel notes, and that same bready texture to the scent in the taste. Palate is lightly sweet, somewhat carbonated and medium bodied. Overall, This is has a nice roasted flavor for a Marzen. This is really drinkable and would be an excellent session beer. Nice Okroberfest Beer!

A well balanced brew great for drinking en masse. I couldn’t find much to love about this beer. I was expecting more caramelized barley flavor. I would surely pick up a case for a party in a pinch, or maybe even once a year to cleanse my beer palate.

Fine Oktoberfest with a perfect blend of malt and hops. My second favorite Oktoberfest to Spaten, which I find a bit drier.

Bottle. Poured with a big ole’ head that dissipated rapidly atop this clear copper brew. Strong malt scent with some rich earthy grassy notes from the hops. Exceptinally well balance with a rich body and a touch of clove in the flavor. Finishes with crisp ho bitterness. A very nice Oktoberfest.

Draught@Man in the Moon, Stockholm. Copper brown, small white head. Malty, some toasted bread and caramel in the nose. Rye-malty, medium-bodied with sweetish finish. Caramelly malty aftertaste. Solid oktoberfestbeer.
