Big foamy white head, cloudy dark orange body. Light sweet start, short duration. Light body, watery texture, soft carbonation.
Not really something remarkable... fata2683 (932), Panama City, Florida, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Mar 12, 2009 bottle, pours hazy amber, tall off white to light tan head. Great aromas of bread, yeast and some light bannana notes. Creamy mouth with light carbonation lets through some nice light malt and light roasted malt with a light bitter finish that is more spice than hop. Not bad. MoDog (927), Griffith, Indiana, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Sep 24, 2008 Poured from a 500ml swing-top bottle (bottled March ’08) and served in a weizen glass. This hefe poured a dark, muddy amber with a thick head of creamy tan foam. Not quite dunkleweizen dark, but much darker than your average hefeweizen. The head lasted throughout the glass, leaving behind a fair amount of lacing. The aroma consisted of ripened bananas, light toffee, nuts, and a touch of spicy yeast. The flavor included wheat bread, light banana, a hint of caramel, and some faint clove. The mouthfeel was medium-bodied and creamy, smooth. Moderate carbonation. A really inviting aroma led to a flavor profile that was just a bit dull. Not bad. edden (927), cow- lumbus, Ohio, USA

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Aug 3, 2008 Updated: Aug 4, 2008Pours a very hazy golden color with with large off-white frothy head that fades quickly. Aroma is light banana and clove with some malt and wheat notes. Taste mirrors the aroma but it has a bit more emphasis on malt that I would expect. Still it’s enjoyable but I’d love a bit more carbonation. CanIHave4Beers (918), Des Moines, Iowa, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jan 27, 2009 Aroma is fruity banana like, kind of sweet. Appearance is not much to speak of here, the head goes away pretty quickly and this is very dirty looking almost like a greyish gold. Flavor is very nice lots of bubblegum, certinally some fruitiness and bananas. Not the greatest hefe but pretty tasty. JoeinUccle (911), Brussels, Belgium
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Apr 16, 2008 Aromatically big hefe, maybe a bit sweet. Bottle pours a thickly cloudy dark orange, nice off-white head. Nose is lots of bubble gum, ripe banana and clove. Pretty spicy. Flavor is quite sweet but short of cloying, some spicy-floral notes, very light bitterness, grainy toward the end. A little thin in the mouth. Refreshing but with plenty of flavor. illidurit (898), Santa Cruz, California, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Aug 27, 2009 500 mL swingtop bottle. Pours a surprisingly dark brownish amber color, with a solid creamy off-white head. Aroma is sweet and bready, with some light cloviness but a more prominent spicy note of cinnamon. There’s some requisite banana but it’s unripe and not too forward. Flavor is similar with some darker, homemade bread notes accented by vanilla banana smoothie sweetness. Pretty nice but the finish vanishes in a sort of watery way. Mouthfeel is alright, carbonation is a little coarse. This is more of a dunkelweizen I’d say. Pretty solid.
