Jul 28, 2009 A slightly more maltier weisse beer than the hefe. The brew has a dark copper color with a slightly cloudy hue. A good brew but I wanted better.

Aug 29, 2008 Pours a dark amber color, slightly cloudy, with a thick white head that sticks around and good lacing. Has the usual banana and bubble-gum flavors of a Hefe, with a bit of a metallic taste in the first few sips. Darker than many Hefe’s also has a light hint of coffee in the taste in the finish.

Dec 28, 2008 A bit murky, dark straw coloured body with good size white head. Soft nose but not muted, cloves outshades the banana. Taste is much the same though a touch watery.

Oct 22, 2008 Bottle purchased at Liquor Mart in Boulder, CO. Pours hazy amber with a large, fizzy, off-white head, somewhat lasting with fair lacing. Aroma is heavy malt (bread, hay, straw), light hops (flowers), average yeast (horse blanket) with notes of banana, apple, and pear. Light bodied, sticky texture, average carbonation, and a chalky finish. Average duration, moderate sweetness, light acidity and bitterness.

Nov 28, 2004 Bottle. Mild banana/peach aroma. Light tan color with typical cloudiness. Weak malt - very little fruit flavor - a bit on the watery side - more like a Kristall. Not nearly as good as their other Hefe.

Dec 27, 2008 A very decent beer,drinkable, though nothing too memorable. The carbonation and wheat is on the tongue and works with supper. The wheat aroma is there. Not too heady. Fairly fresh from Cleveland.

Jul 6, 2007 Bottled 50cl. It pours a hazy orange beer with a white head. Aroma of malt and yeast. Decently spicy and rather metallic. Banana. Lots of cloves in the taste, pretty grainy and malty. Bubblegum-like features. The finish is vinous and dry. Good.

Aug 3, 2008 Updated: Aug 4, 2008Pours a very hazy golden color with with large off-white frothy head that fades quickly. Aroma is light banana and clove with some malt and wheat notes. Taste mirrors the aroma but it has a bit more emphasis on malt that I would expect. Still it’s enjoyable but I’d love a bit more carbonation.
