Bottle... Lightly hazy, deep golden ale with a small, fizzy, white head. Good retention. Fruity, spicy aroma and flavor with notes of (you guessed it) clove, banana and pink bubblegum. Well-balanced. Medium-bodied and velvety with medium carbonation. Finishes crisp, spicy and refreshing. Although most German hefe’s taste and smell the same to me, I rather liked this one. Thanks go out to Paul for bringing this one back from his recent jaunt around Europe.

Muddy brown with a fine, off-white head, lasting. Aroma of coriander and banana, nice. Sweet flavor.

Thin head of fine off-white bubbles. Muddy, dirty looking water. Kind of looks like a watery apple cider. Decaying wheat, grass, yeast, cloves and soft malts. Flavor is pretty much the same. Bit of sickly sweetness and vegetal flavors also. Lots of chewey wheat and sugary malts. Bit of brown sugar flavors. Finishes sickly sweet and clovey. Some graininess also.

(bottle - 500 ml flip-top) Hazy amber pour with a thick white head. Aroma is rich and spicy with lots of wheat, banana, and cloves. Flavor is very grainy at the start with a mixture of applesauce, wheat, bananas, and cloves. Finishes quickly and leaves a slight sweetness on the palate. Flavor is slightly disappointing.

Bottle. Aroma has hint of banana. Cloudy caramel colour, small white head. Quite malty/diacetyl flavour. Some overripe banana. Quite flavourful for a wheat beer.

Light brown colored, cloudy appearance. Little yellow head. Banana, grains, mild spices in aroma. Medium bodied. Flavor is somehow watery with grains, banana and some sweet spices. Very basic hefe-weizen.

a sim rate: Smells very sweet and fruity. Quite thick. Peach or maybe apricot in the aroma and flavour. Perfumey, almost artificial scent and bittery-sweet taste. Leaves a bit of candy flavour in the aftertaste.

Bottle: Deep honey/orange color with a fading off white head. The aroma has lots of dry phenolics with a caramelized sweet wheat presence- honey clove, and light banana. Simple. Light body- a bit over carbonated IMO- some chalky mineral notes- clove, light oxidation blend with a caramel and banana note. Dusty and dull- as well as a bit too sweet. This bottle seemed past its prime.
