I really like the thick and heavy palate. Standard flavor and aroma, but a little better than most. StewardofGondor (1934), Washington Heights - Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jun 12, 2006 Bottle from Germany. Beautiful, hazy and glowing caramel-orange in color with a fluffy, sudsy, orange-tinted head reaching up about an inch. Deliciousness abounds in the aroma: orange crème, nectar messages, cloves, vanilla, bananas and peppery ordeals. Flavor keeps it going. The clover scratch gives a peppery dryness while the orange peel and clementine rind impart a citric sentiment. The summertime honeycomb/nectar trait lends much by means of character and individuality, eventually evolving into a lemon-banana poppy seed muffin motif. Creamy, dry sprits with a slightly spiced flair. Bakery tunes of sweet rolls and banana cream pie graham cracker crust provide a gentle finish. A stand-out hefeweizen. BEEJE26 (40), Ontario, Canada

Starts strong-malty, fine yeasty, notes of cinnamon and nuts. Well balanced finish, fine yeasty. Very good beer! nuplastikk (1256), Madison, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jan 31, 2009 500ml stopper-corked bottle. Thick, unfiltered orange-brown color, more like a Dunkelweizen. Nice foamy head. Sweet dark malt and the Hefe-yeast balance each other out quite well, making a very enjoyable beverage. Quite mellow, with no alcohol flavors and bare minimum hops. Masterful malt and yeast flavors. I would love to have this fresh in Munich. iamqueensblvd (237), , Iowa, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Oct 30, 2009 very classic banana and clove/spice smell but a more powerful yeast and bread nose than most weissens. light brown pour with a thin white head. thin mouthfeel with a disappointingly weak flavor. not bad though. mcdav2154 (297), Germany
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 5/5 | 15/20 | Jul 22, 2009 Pours a dark hazy golden color with a nice thick white head. Lacing is descent. Smells of banana, clove, and malt. Taste is strong of orange and clove with a creamy mouthfeel. Good hop mix with a breadlike taste. This is a full bodied beer. illidurit (898), Santa Cruz, California, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Aug 27, 2009 500 mL swingtop bottle. Pours a surprisingly dark brownish amber color, with a solid creamy off-white head. Aroma is sweet and bready, with some light cloviness but a more prominent spicy note of cinnamon. There’s some requisite banana but it’s unripe and not too forward. Flavor is similar with some darker, homemade bread notes accented by vanilla banana smoothie sweetness. Pretty nice but the finish vanishes in a sort of watery way. Mouthfeel is alright, carbonation is a little coarse. This is more of a dunkelweizen I’d say. Pretty solid.
