Aug 18, 2008 Cask, Beamish Mary, No Place, Co Durham. Pale dark brown colour with a thin off white head. Malty, farty aroma. Sweetish malt flavour, with some vague hop and spice. Dryish, slightly bitter finish. Rather boring really.

Taste is bitter and malty, but not much esle. A fairly simple tasting ale. I much prefer the Farne Island ale by this brewery.

Mar 24, 2008 Cask at Wellington Arms, Bedford. Dark amber with a small white head. Malt aroma and taste, slightly eggy and earthy. Decent bitter finish. Fair enough.

Mar 20, 2008 Half on gravity (3.8 ABV) at London Drinker 08, evening session. Thin, white head resing on a dark brown body. Slightly floral nose. Fruits and malts in a quite well balanced bitter (12.03.2008).

Feb 21, 2008 Cask at the Crown Posada, Newcastle. Copper colour, floral aroma, balanced flavour. Good enough but nothing to write home about.
