MartinKubert (862), Copenhagen, Denmark Jan 14, 2004 Dark amber color. Small head. Slightly alcoholic aroma. Strong clove flavor. Cardemomme and cinnamon. A bit sour and yeasty finish. Some carbonation. Ungstrup (11031), Frederiksberg, Denmark Jan 14, 2004 A dark amber beer with a small fast disappearing head. The aroma is sweet with notes of prunes and raisins. The flavor is slightly sour with notes of lemon, cloves, and corriander. The finish is quite dry from a combination of corriander and hops. The_Beer_God (2827), Newport News, Virginia, USA Jun 9, 2003 Purchased at De Bier Koning in Amsterdam on 5-25-03. Bottled version. Cloudy brown with basically no head. Seems almost cider-like. Spice and thin malt in the nose. Sour hint as well. Sour apple in the taste that sort of reminds me of the Fantome Millenium I had. Add a splash of grapefruit in addition to the sour apple and spice. As it warms a bit, the spicy nose increases a little and includes a barnyard or litterbox hint, but the body becomes thinner and the taste almosts becomes thinner as well and a little more sour. The 8% is well hidden. Finishes dry with little to no aftertaste. Worth trying, but nothing spectacular. bierkoning (4691), La Tropica, Netherlands Apr 2, 2003 Beer gushes out of the bottle. Huge head that only slowly diminishes. Strong cinnamon aroma, vinegra, cherry and apple. Bitter, herbal, slightly acidic flavor with cinnamon. Unbalanced beer with major brewing faults.
