Hildigöltur (5051), København Ø, Denmark Dec 15, 2005 Bottled. Amber coloured. Aroma of anis. Sweet and spicy flavour with alcoholic notes. Papsoe (9980), Frederiksberg, Denmark Aug 3, 2005 (Bottle 30 cl) Beautiful reddish amber with a gigantic head that refuses to settle. Unique spiciness sort of Orval-style. An almost vinous character. Presumably dry, but you sense an underlying sweetness and a discreet bitter finish. Nowhere close to any other Bock I’ve tried. Try to ignore the label art.... 300902 Mads Langtved (2246), København K, Denmark Jan 28, 2004 Authentic. A strong alcoholic taste. Quite fruity and powerful. No head. A diffent beer. Ungstrup (11031), Frederiksberg, Denmark Jan 21, 2004 An amber beer with a white disappearing head. The aroma is sweet alcoholic with notes of oranges. The flavor is of cloves and peach. You can feel the alcohol. It ends on a dry note. An OK beer. JorisPPattyn (4262), Antwerpen, Belgium Jul 25, 2003 Orange-amber, very hazy, flunky even. Yellowish head, fast gone to white rim. Nose with chalk, rich malt, toffee, spicy. Taste: Licoriceflavour. And more licorice, to the exclusion of anything else, but a spicy-tingling tongueside sensation. Gives only licorice-aroma. Whatever sweetness there is, does not conform to licorice-sweetness. Again a citrussy-spicy flavour. Fairly refreshing for all its ABV, but there is some burning sensation that is too pronounced for me. A bit tart, spicy aftertaste, fairly long. This is the second Haerlemsche beer that has this spicy bite I dislike. Tastes like a homebrew-try, and not the best.
