Jul 29, 2005 This is an above average malt liquor, but that is all. It poured just like a Pabst and the taste was all malts, little hops, and very little carbonation. This brew does seem to have a bit of an apple cider quality in its maltiness.

Jun 26, 2005 I ordered this beer at a pizza place in Boston (Regina’s) and this was listed under "Old Style" beer as Heffenreffen. I thought it was the old Boston beer. I was shocked when I got this. It was 95 plus degrees today, the beer was real cold. It could have been worse, for what it was I enjoyed it.

Jun 21, 2005 Another one thanks to Iceman. The body is dark gold with traces of a head. The aroma is grainy corn with some honey. Taste of whoel grain bread with some slight bell pepper.

Jun 12, 2005 Hells ya, somehow i forgot to rate this one back in april when i had it. Not bad at all, really didnt have the normal fuel taste to a malt liqour, fairly smooth and mild, could probably drink this one all day long. Private stock is legit.

Feb 23, 2005 bottle from local bodega,"witth the imported taste" hmmm?whats that mean? any way , aroma is of corn,and grain. yellow gold color,fizzy.tastes ok,very grainy with some booz up in there.pretty good for a malt likka, to qouthe the late biggie smalls "smokin weed in bambu ,sippin on private stock,way back when i had the red and black lumberjack wit the hat to match" yeah
