Lunkie (1006), Glen Iris, Australia Jan 28, 2007 Smokey malt hop aroma. Clear red amber colour with poor head and lacing. Burnt malt flavour with ashtray aftertaste. Flat palate. Sledge Jr (2720), Omaha, Nebraska, USA Sep 22, 2006 In the bottle from a bottle shop in Lennox Head Beach. Pours a rich amber with an off-white head. Aroma of toasted caramel. Perfume hops also can be detected. Flavor is mildly roasted, but lacks a rich enough malt palate to be a true Vienna style. Long lingering hop bitter bite at the end. Aarleks (402), Sydney, Australia Sep 16, 2006 Bottle: Clear amber with a foamy lasting head. Pretty classic clean mega-lager aroma - not much! Maybe some malts, and maybe some metallic, floral hops?? Cardboardy malts greet the tongue and dominate thereafter, occassionally allowing some pleasant biscuity and floral notes to make appearances. A touch too much lingering metallic bitterness apoils the end. Not good, but then, not really bad either. farmboy (218), Barwon Heads, Australia Sep 12, 2006 Awful, dirty, rancid rubbish. So this is a red ale is it? Well, it tastes very much like Hahn Premium to me, but even dirtier. Nicko (126), Sydney, Australia Jul 22, 2006 Bottle. I haven’t tried a "Vienna" before so I have nothing to compare it against.
Redish brwon colours, with floral hop aromas. I sound just like the label.
Little head, small bubbles, light toasty tastes. Sweet also with a nice body. I like it.
