Aarleks (402), Sydney, Australia Feb 15, 2005 Bottle: Hazy yellow gold with a nice looking solid and creamy white head. Fruity phenolic nose of buttery cloves and synthetic banana/bandaid with a background of dusty lemony notes. Spicey, lemony flavours over thin peppery wheat body. A decent approach to the style but lacking in any real presence or complexity highlandlad (1189), Sydney, Australia Feb 7, 2005 Lame wheat beer from one of Australia’s most over-rated brewers. It pours a surprising tangerine/yellow colour with a moderate fluffy head. The nose has some zesty citric notes that echo a young semillon. Thin, fizzy mouthfeel and some fruit on the tongue before a mediocre dry finish. Lacks body and complexity. So restrained and inoffensive that it offends. (Bottle) thehipone (197), Australia Jan 25, 2005 On a bit of a run here with middle of the road witbiers. ANother one that pretty much follows the formula to a T and doesnt challenge you with anything special. Has a pale yellow color and a fluffy head. A bit of tartness and orange notes in the flavor, subtly spiced (coriander). ultra-light bitterness finishes off the experience. Light bodied and medium-high carbonation. bluevegie (1742), Perth, Australia Oct 2, 2004 Pale orange/lemon colour that was slightly hazy and had a very compact white head. Spice and citrus on the nose. Very light in the body, a little lemon and soft spices. Thought this beer was a bit wishy-washy that could appeal to some people but did nothing for me. madquacker (486), Canberra ACT, Australia Sep 19, 2004 Overall pretty good. The most drinkable blonde beer i’ve ever had. Its actually drinkable. The wit bit is not over powering.
