kseecs16 (865), Naperville, Illinois, USA Aug 18, 2008 Bottle. Pours a deep golden with a thin wispy off-white head that clings to the glass. Piney soapy resinous hops aroma. Flavor is richly sweet, mixture of floral and piney hops with a nice bite. Not overly bitter, but a nice lingering bitterness. Full bodied. rthbass (27), Vancouver, Washington, USA Aug 18, 2008 On tap at Horse Brass in Portland.
Great double! Plently of fresh, raw hop flavor. Seemed like the hop combination might have been a little off. But a great beer non the less!! Hophead22 (1056), Redlands, by way of Wisconsin,, California, USA Aug 17, 2008 22oz. bottle. Poured an orange/yellow color, white head. Very floral, smells fantastic. Nice hop flavor to it, not overwhelming, kind of sweet as well, very good. Nice finish as well, good beer. chicagodri (1021), Chicago, Illinois, USA Aug 17, 2008 Pours a cloudy orange with a thin white head. Nice hoppy aroma of citrus and grass. Good bitter flavor, heavy on the hops and very refreshing/easy to drink. This is a very good IPA. fiver29 (703), Cleveland, Ohio, USA Aug 16, 2008 Bottle courtesy of Sparky27. Thanks! Bottle says fall 2007. Pours orange color with a off white head. Has a lot of floaters and I love that in this style. Has a nice citrus aroma with some strong malt mixed in. Taste is full on hops, citrus and grass combo, with a finish that has a twang on my taste buds. Overall this is a nice brew and one I am pleased to try. It has the hops I come to expect. This bottle has a little more malt twang on the backside than I prefer and may be due to a bottle that was brewed last fall. I may try to revisit a fresh one some day. MaltOMeal (642), Land of Sugar, Texas, USA Aug 16, 2008 bomber opened at Houston BA Tasting. Appearance is cloudy yellow/orange with a thin white head. Nose is of citrus and grass. Taste is same citrus and grass. Mouthfeel is medium with bitterness to it. This seemed more on the level of an IPA, not an Imperial IPA. NoiZe (1288), Mooi Zeist, Netherlands Aug 14, 2008 Tasted @ Hair of the Dog Brewing Company in Portland.
