22 oz bottle(2007) poured a hazy orange with very little carbonation and even less head. Oranges and pine resin is all I can smell. Not a bad thing. Nice snap of hop bitterness with the same orange and pine. Very smooth, but not syrupy. A little sweetness to match the hops. Nice bitter aftertaste, but not aggressive like some IPA/DIPA. Just a great beer. I would love to get my hands on more. Glad I held on to this one for 100.

An orangey/red color with a a white head, and cloudy as hell. Aroma is floral, fruity, malty. Flavor is just really delicious. A sharp hop bite hits you but gives way to a juicy and malty beer. Hops are present at the end again. This is one helluva good beer.

Pale orange-gold with small snow white head and dark sediment. Extreme hop nose with grapefruit, peach/caramel sweetness. Wet earth when all is said and done. The flavor is rather sweet with caramel and pineapple, but there are grapefruit citrus and slight bready malt to round it out. Lots of carbonation, and I like that with the fruits. Long sweet aftertaste with some thin piney notes. Bitter finish. Overall, nice IIPA.

Nice reference to Carl Sagan, which is a weird way to associate a beer... Anyway, good beer! A typical DIPA/IIPA. There are lots of notes of perfume, medium everything really. The rye malt is something I was hinting at, but didn’t notice until I read the description. Nice--chewy, but juicy; citrus bread attack!!!

22 ounce bottle from my Secret Santa. Thanks! Pours a slightly hazy peach color with minimal head. Malty aroma with notes of grain and caramel. Slight floral hop aroma. Grainy and honey sweet malt taste with an earthy, slightly sweet, non-bitter hop presence with caramel notes. Full bodied.

Pours out very cloudy and bright yellow-gold in color with some orange highlights. Aroma is of lemon zest with a slightly grassy herbaceousness and other mixed citrus and subtle caramel malt in the background. Strong lemon and grapefruit flavors with fruity hops bitterness over a subtle graininess--very interesting "fruit salad" of hops flavors. Fairly light bodied but with a lot of substance to it--strong bitterness that is well integrated into the flavor profile.

Pours with an orange body topped by a very thick, foamy head with some lacing left on the glass. It’s slightly sweet and malty with a nice floral and bitter hop presence with notes of pine, citrus and a hint of spice. Medium bodied and a touch warming.
