Bottle shared with 1_2many. I was really blown away by the intense floral and citrusy hop aroma of this beer. I love the aroma, and it was a great appetizer to a great IPA flavor. A very well balanced, smooth, drinkable...yet strong, hoppy flavor. I am glad I finally got to try this beer and wasn’t disappointed by another great Hair of the Dog brew.

Finally I get to try this fantastic brew. Pour is a nice golden yellow with medium sized head. Sugary sweet piney delicousness. Very drinkable.

22oz bomber pours a translucent, yellow, orange with a clumping slightly off white head. Aroma of oranges, grapefruit, flowers, spice and pine. Flavor has very developed citrus fruits like freshly squeezed orange juice, grapefruits, lemons and a little bit of sweetness almost like can sugar. Very drinkable despite a strong bitter finish. Pretty good, the distinct citrus flavors on the tongue set this apart a bit.

Bottle thanks to my uncle who was visiting Portland. This is my first Hair of the Dog and it goes beyond the hype in my opinion. Extremely hazy, copperish pale yellow with a small head and a tiny bit of sediment. Surprised that very little light only comes through on the edge of the glass. Wonderful citrus, pine, and earthy hops aroma. The malt is subtle but cuts into the bitterness just enough to make this extremely smooth. Aftertaste is intense, lasting, and enjoyable. For my experience of Imperial IPA’s this is second only to Dreadnaught.

Had 22oz bottle poured in chilled pint glass @ Lucky Baldwins, Pasadena CA. Very aromatic. Cloudy when poured producing a small head. Straightforward double IPA..."Malty, Hoppy, Tasty, Good" as the label goes. Actually very hoppy but not overwhelming with a dry bitter aftertaste that hits back of palate just right. Quality Double IPA.

Extra from sparky27, aka Eaaaasy E! thanks eric! Poured into a snifter, hazy copper/orange color??? No head really... Aroma is citrus/fruity hops. Taste is maltier then I expected. Not that biitter compared to most DIPA’s. I would not guess 100 IBU’s. Lots of grapefruit. Smooth and tasty just different. Low carbonation and medium texture. Good brew just not great. Thanks E!

I had a bad bottle of this at Pure Luck in Hollywood one time that turned me off of this. Then I had a week old bottle at the Stuffed Sandwich and this is clearly a fantastic DIPA. Nose is rich with orange, grapefruit, cream, spicy hops and blossoms. Flavor is much the same and finishes long with lemon juiciness and bight pine. Really fantastic.
