22oz bottle. Pours a very cloudy and murky caramel. A fuzzy wisp of a frothy white head sticks around, and leaves behind very little lacing. Aroma is of astringent hops and succulent citrus. Very good, but not as powerful as expected. Flavor is sinuous grapefruit, laced with bleeding hops and a dash of faint pine. Bitter, oily mouthfeel. But very easy to drink. Good beer.

Bottle, thanks to EDA. Cloudy, sort of dark yellow pour. Aroma is strong grapefruit and pineapple juice. Flavor is sour fruit, some bitter citrus and fruit hops, and slightly bitter / grassy hops in the end. Very good IPA, but not as malty as some other doubles.

Pours a hazy straw colour with a late-forming white head that fades quickly and leaves no lacing. The aroma is that of fruity hops most closely resembling mango and passion fruit with potent herbal notes pertruding. Little malt is present in the flavour and smell. The flavour is sweet and fruity with distinct notes of rye and citrus rind with a lightly fruity, fragrant hop finish. There is an herbal quality to the hops that is persistent mid-palate to aftertaste. The hops display hop flavour more than hop bitterness, which is always a plus and impressive at 100 IBU’s. The mouthfeel is a little on the watery side, but not to the point where it is irritating. Good stuff!

Courtesy of emerica56 & drink4satan! Poured into a tulip with a hazy straw color and very fragrant aroma. Mango, orange, peach, grapefruit all punch their way out of the glass. Some caramel lingers in the background. Initial taste of grapefruit hops, mango, candy like sugar and caramel malts. Finishing with a crisp hop bitterness. Medium body. Good palate duration. Nice brew!

Thanks alot brent for sending me this unusually fruit smelling double IPA. This pours out a clear orange color with no head at all. The aroma has a remarkable strawberry, oatmeal like smell to it that is so sweet and hoppy. The was a nice bitterness initially but it cut out really quick, then a caramel coating filled my mouth. The caramel malt and hop bitterness just sits in your mouth and it stays on the sides of my tounge for the entire duration of the tasteing.

22oz bottle. 2007 Spring edition. Poured a medium and cloudy golden color with a smaller sized off white head. Aromas of pineapples, tropical fruits, citrus rinds, and fresh green hops. Very nice hop aroma. Tastes of tropical fruits, fruity, caramel, and melons. Tastes a tad of a let down compared to the great aroma.

Bomber from Spring 2007. My intention was to drink this fresh but with limited availability I had to do with this. Pours very cloudy, very pale with moderate carbonation and fat white bubbles. Looks like a wheat beer it is so pale. Aroma is still very nice, even with this amount of time on it. Sweet, tangerine hops, candy, sugar. This thing had to smell amazing fresh. Taste is unfortunately more subdued than the aroma. A slight biscuit flavor followed by a watery taste. A faint bitterness is evident about halfway through that lingers for the finish. I’ll try to get my hands on a fresh bottle and re-rate but for now I’ll have to settle for the opinion that this is a decent example of the style that has the potential to be better.

Thanks to hopdog for sharing this one off my wants list. Pours a hazy golden orange with a bubbly off white head that diminished quickly. Aroma of a handful of fresh American hops. Orange, grapefruit, some floral notes, Tang, tropical fruits and caramel. Flavor of caramel malt sweet malts, pine, grapefruit and other citrus.
