Bottle. Poured a murky orange color with a medium head and nice amount of sediment. Decent lacing. Strong hoppy flavor with a nice citrus hint to it. Flavor is very hoppy and refreshing. Finishes with a nice grapefruit bite, and maybe even a little pine. A very nice imperial IPA.

Pours a opaque golden color...very murky like a dark Hefe. Nice head that billows and descends pretty quickly, but with cumulus-like clouds on top. Will caveat at this point that I consumed this after a Dreadnaught, so competition was fierce. Hoppy aroma is very nice and complex...lots of citrus (grapefruit and orange primarily) hops and some resiny/piney hops as well. The taste disappointed somewhat...just didn’t live up to the potential exhibited in the hops. Flavor was still good...mostly citrus hop flavors, but there was a good malt backbone to stand up to the hops, with some caramely/sugary undertones. Very oily mouthfeel, almost too much for a drink that goes down this quickly. Not bad, but nothing amazing from the folks at HOTD.

Bottled. An unclear dark golden beer with a very big and persitent white head. Strong hoppy aroma with notes of pine needles, grapefruit and some grass. Some malt in the background, but not much, only a hint of caramel. The flavour is as hoppy as the aroma, thoufgh more balanced by the malt sweetness and some sugar. Notes of grapefruit, grass, light rye. Only medium body, lighly juicy and syrupy, high carbonation, dry long finish with heavy bitterness, though this beer does not seem 100 IBU. A very nice Imperial India Pale Ale, quite balanced, intense, and with its own originality.

From bottle : Pours a hazy apricot color with a little head that dies fast, but leaves pretty good lacing. Hard core nose of citrus hops, enough to knock ya back into your seat (if your not already there), with maybe a little hint of alcohol. Taste is much less intense then the smell, though still good. All kinda hop presence, with citrus being domanite. Bitterness kicks in toward the end, but still leaves a good aftertaste in the mouth. Sticky feel on the palate with a medium body. Pretty freakin good if i do say so myself....and i do.

Bottle 2007 from freinds at the Dilly Deli. Poured a hazy golden color with an average frothy white head that lasted with good lacing. Heavy complex citrus and resin hoppy aroma with a small alcohol tone. Medium body with a smooth slick texture. Heavy bitter flavor with a medium bittersweet and small alcohol bite finish of moderate duration. This is a standout beer.

2nd Brewery 07-08 Beer Road Trip with Bikesandbeer, 12/31/07 @ The Brewery with Alan Sprints. Alan was nice enough to give Kevin, Kevin’s Girlfriend Jessi a private tour and tasting on New Year’s Eve 07. Bomber brewed in Fall 07. Pours gold yellow with a bright white head. Nose has a great citrus character. Taste is really sweet, awesome and a big DIPA with a low abv and really not much for bitterness.

Cloudy yellow orange on a pour from a bottle with a big white thin head. Citrus aromas. Pleasant mouthfeel. Hoppy bitter a litle thin on flavor. Not super long finish or rich and complex. Not a bad IPA.
