jsquire (2087), St. Marys, Ohio, USA Apr 18, 2007 Very hazy pale gold color with a huge fluffy white head. Fresh hop pellet nose. Tons of malt in the IIPA. It is not the hop soup that most IIPAs try to be. Lots of toffee and dark caramel sweetness under a complex hop bitterness of pine resin and red grapefruit. Well balanced. I feel every bit of the 7%. akaufman (16), Seattle, Washington, USA Apr 12, 2007 This was my favorite IPA at Hopfest in Seattle at the Brower’s bar. It was a week long festival and i think the blue dot keg was kicked the first day bierkoning (5989), La Tropica, Netherlands Apr 9, 2007 Large painted bottle. Orange blonde color. Lemongrass aroma. A sharp and firm hopbitterness with loads of grapefruit and grassy herbal hops. Medium bodied. Very long earthy citric hopbitter aftertaste. A very intense beer. I really liked it. hotstuff (3175), Indiana, USA Apr 8, 2007 Bottle. Thanks to jsquire for sharing. Large white fizzy head that mostly diminished, no lacing, cloudy, and a straw yellow hue. Malty, hoppy citrus, spice nose. Very nice indeed! Flavor was malty, hoppy citrus and somewhat thick. Mouthfeel was smooth and thick. Medium-full body. Very quaffable. Ths is not one of my favorite styles; however, I would partake in this one again if the opportunity presented itself. Definitely worth a try! 00cobraR (1096), Greensboro, North Carolina, USA Apr 1, 2007 Ahhhhh now were talking. Pours out a nice orangish color with a nice large head. Aroma is floral, citrusy and very hoppy. Flavor was very much the same, but not quite as hoppy as i expected it to be with a 100 IBU rating. Also expected a bit more alcohol in the mix, but either way this is a great brew! thedm (3833), Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA Mar 31, 2007 JSquire, Hotstuff and I had this at a tasting party at his house last night. This bottled brew from a rating party poured a very large sized head of foamy finely sized white colored slow rising bubbles that were mostly lasting and left behind a semi-hazy softly carbonated yellow colored body and a thick foamy lacing. It had a funky mild floral hop malt aroma. The mouth feel was very tingly at the start and at the finish with a strong floral hop aftertaste. The strong flavor contained notes of floral hops that was smooth and not at all biting. Delicious and one I would certainly drink again. Storm (2685), Amager, Denmark Mar 29, 2007 Bottle. Cloudy golden colour with a huge off-white head. Very nice hoppy aroma with notes of wheat, citrus and little lemon like. Flavour of wheat, hops and ends up very dry and bitter. Grovlam (3790), Copenhagen, Denmark Mar 28, 2007 Bottle. [Blind tasting session @ Sk8viking] #18 Small white head. Fair lacing. Cloudy orange color. Flowers, grass, pine, citrus, grapefruit, elder flower, light caramel. Full bodied with an extremely dry texture. Moderated flavor with some light bitter notes. Crisp dry and long lasting finish. Wow what a hoppy experience.
