Bomber, bottled on 4/22/06, with a touching tribute to Mother Earth on the side. Poured a clear, lighter golden with a tall, well-retained cap of white head... leaving intricate lacing as it descended. Aroma picked up toffee and caramel surrounded by cold pine forests and grapefruit extract.
The flavor also maintained its hop focus, with pineapple and pine leading the way... sweet caramel provides a respectable base... long, bitter finish with more of the pineapple remaining. Bitterness was high, and the flow was only decent on the palate. Thanks go to Styles for the bottle!

Bottle. ( Thanks Marsiblursi ! ) Hazy orange with a thin white head. Fruity and malty with lots of citrus tones. Full body with a very nice bitter finish.

22oz - last bottle from BevMo Mtn View - Aroma is citrus floral hops and dusty wet malts. Pours cloudy pale yellow with a huge head and great lacing. Flavor is not as hoppy as aroma leads on. Snappy citrus hops followed by a smooth malty finsh. Palate is tart and crisp. Still quite tasty, but I was expecting more.

[Bottled. Marsiblursi delivers] Hazy orange colour. White head. Pale, citrusy/grapey nose. Very clean and does not seem so malty. Funky citrusy flavour with grapey bitterness. Good funky-pale-sourish flavour profile, unusual in 2IPA’s.

(Bottle, thanks to Marsiblursi) Sampled at a tasting night at Marsiblursi’s place. Shady apricot color, white head. Scent are from hops and pine, very intense and oily, green hops from the bag smell. Spritzy mouthfeel that transforms into mouth puckering dry bitterness. Piny and hoppy taste with a huge bitterness.

(Bottle) Pours hazy orange. Very piny, grapefruity aroma with fruity, soapy, spicy and malty undertones. Maybe a tiny touch of flowers. Strong grapefruit flavour with a medium malty body and a full afterbitterness. Fruity and piny undertones. A bit acid-ish and really dryish. Some fresh broken wood in both the flavour and in the nose. A nice one.

It’s with excitement that I open this, my first Hair of the Dog.... It has a lot of sediment, it’s hazy and warm golden. The head is huge, white and creamy. The aroma is wonderfully hopped and spicy. The flavour has nice notes of resin, hops, fruit, citrus (mostly grape fruit) and the hop-bite makes the taste buds shrink in joy, but 2 years ago I would have found this one terribly bitter. It’s a really nice double IPA, and it was nice together with fat foods... 1845

22oz bottle via trade with bu11zeye. Aroma: Lots of pine, grapefruit, pineapple, peppery spiciness, floral, and a strong yeast aroma. Some bready malt, caramel, and a touch of honey. Appearance: Medium amber in color and quite hazy. White head was huge and creamy with ridiculous retention. Great lacing. Flavor: Strange. Kind of like a Belgian IIPA. Bready malt with a touch of caramel. Pine, citrus, banana, honey, pepper, floral, resin, and grass. Strong yeastiness. Medium-high bitterness. Dry finish. Palate: Medium-full bodied. Medium-high carbonation. Light alcohol warming in back of mouth. Overall: Really nice beer. Enjoyed the Belgian-like qualities. Only beef is that it was a little overcarbonated.
