A decent amount of resiny pine, too. Body is dense, almost chewy. Very nice! jeffc666 (1891), Fairfax, Virginia, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Aug 4, 2006 Bober courtesy of GoldTwins. Cloudy orange-yellow body with a patchy head that disspated into small flotillas of largish bubbles. Loads of pungent hops in the nose, as an earthiness to it that is atypical for the style but not bad (now that I have read the copy on the bottle I see that there is Rye in this one, that explains it). The flavor is all about hops. Front to back its all about the hops, there are hints of some malt but like the Voctory Hop Wallop this one is 100% about hops. As it warms a bit more of the malt comes through. Prickly and bitter. Quite good. ucusty (1887), Wake Forest, North Carolina, USA

Orange pour slightly hazy (similar to a hefeweizen) with white head and spotty lacing. Grapefruit and rye aroma, with a very similar taste. Peppery finish. | 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Oct 3, 2008 Pours a pale hazy bright golden yellow with a thin fizzy white head. The nose is citrusy and fruity, mandarin oranges, sweet, grapefruit, a nice hidden malt backbone. The flavor has an assertive citrus peel bitterness that doesn’t come through in the aroma, mandarin oranges, fruity, nice malty sweetness. The palate has a dry hoppy bite and finishes citrusy with some sweetness. marcus (1864), Sacramento, California, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jun 14, 2007 This dirty blonde ale poured with a miniscule off-white head. There is an initial bitter hoppy flavor with a maltier finish. Highly carbonated, but otherwise rather unremarkable. mgumby10 (1858), Jupiter, Florida, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Apr 3, 2008 Courtesy of Dunk. Pours a hazy orange color, with a thick, foamy, well retained creamy beige head. Great lacing on the glass. Pretty sharp aroma, alot of orange citrus mixed with juicy hops, and some grapefruit as well. Liked the aroma alot. The flavor is very nicely balanced, the hops were abundant, but balanced out fairly well with good doses of malt and citrus fruits. Only downfall was it was seemingly a little overcarbonated. Good brew overall. Crosling (1854), Loveland, Colorado, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jun 15, 2008 Spring 2008 Batch. Light golden/yellow color with a small, quickly diminishing foam. Pure hop smell with lots of citrus, orange, tangerine and lemon notes, really nice. Flavor doesn’t quite match the nose, but it’s still nicely hoppy. Bitter, juicy and oily, with loads of hop flavor and a fairly lingering finish. Finally able to try it fresh, and it’s a hell of a brew. Sham (1846), Seattle, Washington, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Aug 28, 2006 Dark gold with a frothy head. Huge bubbles and tan. Sweet malts with a little grapefruit are the first aromas. Floral with fruity esters and caramel in the flavors. Thick and sweet. Syrupy and cloying. Finishes out fruity.
