Good bitter flavor, heavy on the hops and very refreshing/easy to drink. This is a very good IPA. rustychiles (1058), Mesa, Arizona, USA

Pours a hazy orange with a small white head. Aroma of hops, sticky pine, malt and bread. Flavors of Hops, Pine, Citrus, al come together with bitterness and sweetness to form a quite nice IIPA. crizay (1050), Brook Park (was Tampa,FL), Ohio, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Feb 27, 2008 Hazy golden orange pour, small bubbly white head that stays. Aroma is delicious, melon, orange, slight grapefruit, peach, pine and mango. Flavor is orange, grapefruit, and some melon. Big resiny bitterness to this killing off the flavors I loved so much in the aroma. Medium bodied and smooth creamy mouthfeel but there is just so much resin to it. Some more peach and melon finish it out but still get round housed by the Resin. I really want to like this beer and I do but I don’t love it. MrBendo (1044), Swedesboro, New Jersey, USA

Pours dirty, cloudy orange with a thin head. Aroma of citrus, pineapple and floral hops. Taste was grapefruit and pine with just a bit of caramel malt background. Perfumy and slightly bitter finish. Very nice. If it weren’t for the god-awful appearance of this beer, my score would have looked really good. gunhaver (1043), Tampa, Florida, USA

A fuzzy wisp of a frothy white head sticks around, and leaves behind very little lacing. Aroma is of astringent hops and succulent citrus. Very good, but not as powerful as expected. Flavor is sinuous grapefruit, laced with bleeding hops and a dash of faint pine. Bitter, oily mouthfeel. But very easy to drink. Good beer. pintsize (1042), Austin, Texas, USA

Pours a very cloudy thick orange light brown with nice almost white head. Awesome aroma of fruity and tart hops. Has a great hops flavor that is quite citris-like. Palate is smooth and creamy. Very well done. Not what I imagine when I drink an Imperial IPA, but it was a damn good beer! brentfeesh (1039), Gadsden, Alabama, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | May 21, 2007 22 oz bottle. Pours murky orange. Very light aroma with hints of sweetness and bright fruit. Not what you might expect from a 2IPA. The taste is also mild compared to what I was expecting. Grapefruit is the predominant hop presence but it is not overpowering or overbearing in any way. It’s just there like a straight IPA might present the hops. There is very little sweetness in this one. The malt is there in terms of full round body but it is not really any more noticeable than that. Semi-dry finish. For a 2IPA this is a bit lack luster. It doesn’t taste bad, but rather one dimensional and boring. Too bad.
