| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | May 30, 2006 On draft, this was much more subdued than I would have expected. Its appearance was hazy, and somehow, hazy was the overall impression I formed of its flavor. A murky, muddled mix of PNW hops and light malt. Good, but it failed to present a distinct flavor which I could hang on to. fidel (973), Livermore, California, USA

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Aug 14, 2006 22oz. bottle. Murky light brown-orange with a thin film of white head. Spicy, soft citrus hop aroma. Spicy rye malt character incedes a confluence of hop flavors: spicy/floral, vegetal, piney. Resinous astringency in the finish with residual perfumey spiciness. Mouthfeel is fairly heavy, rather dry. axilla (962), New Providence, Pennsylvania, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jan 4, 2008 Poured a cloudy orange color body with a huge, sticky, off-white foam. The aroma was quite floral with some resiny pine notes. Flavors are grapefruits, pine needles, coriander, clove, and a semi-sweet malt backbone. A little medicinal at first but that wore off after a few minutes. Soonah (960), Tulsa, Oklahoma, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Feb 4, 2009 From BMan1113VR via trade. The pour was slightly hazy and light copper in color. A dense white head formed and produced sticky rings of lacing. The aroma was a nice blast of grapefruit hops with pine, pineapple and then softer caramel malts. The flavor was a well balanced combination of citrus and pine hops against a nice caramel malt backbone. Medium bodied mouthfeel, succinct finish. Very nice. jimbowood (956), Athens, Georgia, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Nov 4, 2006 Bottle. One of the most interesting IIPA’s I’ve tried. Appearance is like that of an unfiltered hefeweizen- pale cloudy straw colored. Huge, hoppy aroma w/ that metallic/acidic nose that you get from some of the HOTD brews. HUGE head. Flavor is complex. A little watered-down. Don’t know if I like the interpretaton of the style, but it’s definitely interesting and worth a try. shawnm213 (950), South Bend, Indiana, USA
