A typical DIPA/IIPA. There are lots of notes of perfume, medium everything really. The rye malt is something I was hinting at, but didn’t notice until I read the description. Nice--chewy, but juicy; citrus bread attack!!! ogglethorp (890), Ohio, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jan 3, 2007 Bottle via trades with kenb and stoutlover72. Pours a hazy, bright golden color with an ample, thick, white head, looks beautiful. Aroma is pine, floral hops, citrus, yeast. Flavor is spicy pine, floral hops, malt, yeast, almost belgian-like, very different. Palate is medium-full, highly carbonated, spicy, bitter finish. Definitely out side the box for a IIPA. Hops and bitterness became more pronounced as it warmed. Pretty nifty. I liked it but didn’t fall in love. illidurit (890), Santa Cruz, California, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jan 16, 2009 Hazy orange goldenrod color with a healthy beige head. Nice lacing. Aroma is heavy on the fresh pineapple, with some notes of stone fruits and pale malt. Flavor is oily hops, grapefruit, underripe pineapple, pine. Can’t really tell there’s rye in it. Slight astringency, nothing major. Good long bitterness. Very drinkable. troopie (888), USA
| 4.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 19/20 | Feb 2, 2007 Hazy orange with white head, much lacing. Hop aroma with malt notes. Hoppy flavour with a quenching quality, notes of citrus, naartjies?, and malt. Lingering hop finish. Well balanced and seems lower in alcohol than it is. kseecs16 (887), Naperville, Illinois, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Aug 18, 2008 Bottle. Pours a deep golden with a thin wispy off-white head that clings to the glass. Piney soapy resinous hops aroma. Flavor is richly sweet, mixture of floral and piney hops with a nice bite. Not overly bitter, but a nice lingering bitterness. Full bodied. pepsican (885), The Student Ghetto, Iowa, USA
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Dec 24, 2007 spring 07 bottle. Pours orangish with a fizzy head. Citrus flying everywhere, not much hops going on. Lemons...oranges...hmmm. Am I drinking an infected double blue moon? This beer is just off. Not bad, but not what it is supposed to be. Needs a rerate. Naven (876), Poway, California, USA

I think I would just like to incorporate the last rating (Stoutlover72) as my own. Found this beer to be boring, bland, and kinda gross. We all kind of thought it tasted like a mediocore homebrew. Kind of dry, medicinal, and astringent. I thought it needed more sweetnes. An otherwise good brewery. GMCC2181 (868), Bear/Elkton, Delaware, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Jul 6, 2008 Extra from sparky27, aka Eaaaasy E! thanks eric! Poured into a snifter, hazy copper/orange color??? No head really...
Aroma is citrus/fruity hops. Taste is maltier then I expected. Not that biitter compared to most DIPA’s. I would not guess 100 IBU’s. Lots of grapefruit. Smooth and tasty just different. Low carbonation and medium texture. Good brew just not great. Thanks E!
