Bottle courtesy of Sparky27. Thanks! Bottle says fall 2007. Pours orange color with a off white head. Has a lot of floaters and I love that in this style. Has a nice citrus aroma with some strong malt mixed in. Taste is full on hops, citrus and grass combo, with a finish that has a twang on my taste buds. Overall this is a nice brew and one I am pleased to try. It has the hops I come to expect. This bottle has a little more malt twang on the backside than I prefer and may be due to a bottle that was brewed last fall. I may try to revisit a fresh one some day.

bottle Thanks Skyview! Poured a hazy amber with a large white head. Aroma smelled very strong of citrus. Taste was malty as well as hoppy with the hops not overpowering as in other IPA’s. A very good beer.

Impressively thick and still, with large strands of sediment just floating there near the bottom of the glass. Peach-coloured, which makes me wonder if the apricot notes I detected in the finish were psychosomatic. Nevertheless, there was a fresh fruity presence somewhere in the bitter, almost brackish concoction, with sharp malty notes I’ve come to expect from this brewer. It’s a nice variation on their skull-crushing, heavy, sweet Belgian-style beers, but a bit left-field for my tastes.

Hmmm, I’m kind of shocked at the 95. I had really high hopes for this one but it’s sort of disappointing. My bottle isn’t balanced well at all. I understand it’s an IIPA but this is full on astringent...listerine...mediciney hoppy flavor. F’ing enormous head which is a pain in the ass waiting for it to die down. Don’t know if I got a bad bottle or if the rating is inflated by the breweries reputation. Either way, I’m not really digging this brew; really wanted to love this one too :(

Pours light amber, aroma of yeast, pines and cirus notes. An IIPA? Formed huge foamy head. Flavour is of pines, citrus, a tinge of malts, a bit of hops and nutmeg. At first I was thinkin’ a tripel??? Ah, no, this is truley a seasonal IIPA, springtime. Light, but comes throw in the end. Yeah, a Springtime IIPA, on the money. Was a little suprise this time of year (fall), a nice beer. Would love to try on tap....

Thanks to Odeed! Pours a golden color with a nice white head. Aroma is mostly citrus and piney hops. Medium to thin palate. I get only bitterness in the flavor and not much else. If this beer was a bit more chewy with more body, I would have enjoyed it more. May try it again if oppourtunity presents itself.

Bottle. ( Thanks Marsiblursi ! ) Hazy orange with a thin white head. Fruity and malty with lots of citrus tones. Full body with a very nice bitter finish.

bomber opened at Houston BA Tasting. Appearance is cloudy yellow/orange with a thin white head. Nose is of citrus and grass. Taste is same citrus and grass. Mouthfeel is medium with bitterness to it. This seemed more on the level of an IPA, not an Imperial IPA.
