Strong hoppy aroma with notes of pine needles, grapefruit and some grass. Some malt in the background, but not much, only a hint of caramel. The flavour is as hoppy as the aroma, thoufgh more balanced by the malt sweetness and some sugar. Notes of grapefruit, grass, light rye. Only medium body, lighly juicy and syrupy, high carbonation, dry long finish with heavy bitterness, though this beer does not seem 100 IBU. A very nice Imperial India Pale Ale, quite balanced, intense, and with its own originality. darn1207 (585), Tallahassee, Florida, USA

Pours a hazy golden color with quite a foamy white head. The aroma has a fairly citrusy and hoppy nose to it with some spices thrown in the mix. The flavor brings out somewhat of the same of the nose: sweet, bitter, and citrusy hops with some spices thrown in the mix. Not too much malt going on with this considering its a DIPA. Fairly bitter end on this guy. I really love the Blue Dot, but mainly only when its fairly fresh, so don emerica56 (583), Bristol, Rhode Island, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Feb 2, 2008 Thanks alot brent for sending me this unusually fruit smelling double IPA. This pours out a clear orange color with no head at all. The aroma has a remarkable strawberry, oatmeal like smell to it that is so sweet and hoppy. The was a nice bitterness initially but it cut out really quick, then a caramel coating filled my mouth. The caramel malt and hop bitterness just sits in your mouth and it stays on the sides of my tounge for the entire duration of the tasteing. cbeers21 (578), Miami, Florida, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Aug 22, 2008 Cool bottle. Nice hazy orange pour with obvious piney citrusy scents to be smelled, along with tangy, toasted aromas of orange, grapefruit, canned pineapple and applesauce. Nice biting hops bitterness taste, with the hops being the predominant presence; yet it ramains balanced and quenching due to a subtle and worthy malt balancing act. This presents a complex flavor profile with an enjoyable drinkability. Very nice indeed. sfhodense (575), Odense NØ, Denmark

poured a lighter golden orange. Large creamy white head.
Smells of very light floral hops with a tad of citrus.
Not a lot of hop flavor, mostly just a hoppy bitterness, Rye malt if very evident. Adds a sort of tangy sweetness.
