Pours hazy yellow straw with a foamy white head, lasting and lined lacing. Aroma is huge hops (citrus, floral, pine), doughy yeast, straw and hay, meal and cereal malt, grassy finish. Moderately bitter and acidic piney and floral hops, malt and yeasty cardboard flavor, alcohol notes at the end. Medium bodied and fizzy, dry and chalky palate.

A creamy beer with lots of grassy hops. Loads of bitterness. Warming. Good, but not quite there.

Draft at HDG. Gold with a thick, trademark HOTD head. Aroma has some bubblegum but is pretty hoppy with fruit flavors of mango, papaya and pineapple. Not too sweet but really balanced the way I like it. I’d drink this every day.

Thanks to hopdog for sharing this one off my wants list. Pours a hazy golden orange with a bubbly off white head that diminished quickly. Aroma of a handful of fresh American hops. Orange, grapefruit, some floral notes, Tang, tropical fruits and caramel. Flavor of caramel malt sweet malts, pine, grapefruit and other citrus.

Bottle. Thanks to jsquire for sharing. Large white fizzy head that mostly diminished, no lacing, cloudy, and a straw yellow hue. Malty, hoppy citrus, spice nose. Very nice indeed! Flavor was malty, hoppy citrus and somewhat thick. Mouthfeel was smooth and thick. Medium-full body. Very quaffable. Ths is not one of my favorite styles; however, I would partake in this one again if the opportunity presented itself. Definitely worth a try!

Bottle at Immy’s Tasting on 7-22-06. Hazed gold. Creamy, resinous hoppy aroma. Some almost fruity pine notes as well. Taste is hoppy, citrusy with sweet malts and caramel to balance it and light pine notes as well. Body is medium with moderate carbonation and a nice chewiness to it. Finishes with more hops, fruits, sweet malts and grains. Spot more pine as well.

Honolulu, Hi.- Whole Foods - 22 oz bomber. Dark orange appearance, sticky white head. Heavy spruce aroma with lots of resiny accents. Lip smacking hoppy flavor with loads of juicy citrus - grapefruit, mango, hints of mint. Thick, rich mouthfeel. Perfect way to end a wonderful vacation in Hawaii.

22 oz bottle. Poured a clear light orange color. Head was tall and white with good retention and lacing. Pleasant aroma of caramel and flowery hops. There was also a coriander-ish accent that added a bit of intrigue. Somewhat over carbonated with only mild to moderate hop bitterness that peaked a about 4 out of 10. Most of the bite in this one came from the CO2. Dry on the tongue. Citrus and light alcohol dominated the flavor.
