The aroma of this is amazing. Floral and citrus notes. Cloudy, orange appearance with a nice head. Intense hop flavor with a refreshing hop finish. Excellent imperial IPA

Strong grapefruit hops aroma, sharp and full of awesome. Citrusy! There is nice malt to balance it all out, but lets forget about that, malt is a bit player here. Dry hopping must have been used as a bit of a hop pellet was to be found at the bottom of my glass. This must have added to the deep and powerful hop chords throughout this IPA. Hops!

Hazy orange. Great-looking fluffy head. Fresh-smelling nose (oranges and yeast). Lively carbonation; rather refreshing. Tasty caramel and crystal malt sweetness. Super spicy, with elements of sweet grass, spruce tips, citrus and pepper. Nice level of bitterness to boot. Great beer.

Pours a cloudy orangeish golden with a frothy white lasting head. Aroma is hugely citrus, I mean huge, with a nice earthiness in there too. The body is med and perfect. The flavors are piney, huge citrus, juicy with a sort of kitchen sink hop character. Finish is wicked dry, almost punishingly bitter...I love it!

Honolulu, Hi.- Whole Foods - 22 oz bomber. Dark orange appearance, sticky white head. Heavy spruce aroma with lots of resiny accents. Lip smacking hoppy flavor with loads of juicy citrus - grapefruit, mango, hints of mint. Thick, rich mouthfeel. Perfect way to end a wonderful vacation in Hawaii.

RBSG 2006 - Grand Tasting. Brassy metallic color with a very clean white head. Nice, fresh aroma of orange citrus, and a welcome buttery malt backing with organic honey tones. Puckering citric and pine hop flavors with a semi-dry and long, bitter finish. A very good 1 1/2 IPA in my book.

On tap at Horse Brass. I found out later at a brewery tour that this beer now accounts for almost half of HotD’s production. Thick cloudy looking dark yellow like yeast mud. Thin head and lacing. Gentle hop aroma hypnotizes the brain. Alcohol is well hidden. Thick and flavourful in the mouth. You can almost chew the hops. Delicious. Strong but restrained.

A golden appearance with a moderate head. A citrus and perfume aroma. The flavor contains some lemons, honey, and orange peel. Not as bitter as I would expect but a good effort nonetheless.
