Pours a very cloudy thick orange light brown with nice almost white head. Awesome aroma of fruity and tart hops. Has a great hops flavor that is quite citris-like. Palate is smooth and creamy. Very well done. Not what I imagine when I drink an Imperial IPA, but it was a damn good beer! BlackForestCO (827), Fort Collins, Colorado, USA

Poured a clear golden color with a light white head that faded to a ring. Aroma of leafy, earthy hops with some pine resin and light citrus. Strong, bitter hops right off the bat with some pine resin and a leafy earthiness with a moderately bitter, lingering finish. Nice bitter, biting mouthfeel, but still able to have that oily hoppiness. Great stuff. unrulythings (73), Portland, Oregon, USA

Hard core nose of citrus hops, enough to knock ya back into your seat (if your not already there), with maybe a little hint of alcohol. Taste is much less intense then the smell, though still good. All kinda hop presence, with citrus being domanite. Bitterness kicks in toward the end, but still leaves a good aftertaste in the mouth. Sticky feel on the palate with a medium body. Pretty freakin good if i do say so myself....and i do. timfoolery (484), California, USA

We had a Hair of the Dog Adam a while back, and it was impressive to say the least. The DIPA isn’t any different. Distinct flavor of grapefruit juice, and that’s it. Nice aftertaste and control on the palate. Tough to say it was better than Stone IPA, but that’s the truth. A definite re-buy. illidurit (878), Santa Cruz, California, USA

Aroma is heavy on the fresh pineapple, with some notes of stone fruits and pale malt. Flavor is oily hops, grapefruit, underripe pineapple, pine. Can’t really tell there’s rye in it. Slight astringency, nothing major. Good long bitterness. Very drinkable. rustychiles (1055), Mesa, Arizona, USA
