Big hop action, a little pepper(I suppose that is the rye malting), big citrus bite. caramel malts balanced throughout. very nice. Dedollewaitor (3736), Odense, Denmark

Aroma and taste of Citrus/orange/grape, pine, hops -soap/flowers + yeast. Soft mouthfeel & carbonation. Little malty sweetness that matches fine with the power amount of hops that is used. Again I sense a taste of pepper like the other products I’ve tasted from the brewery. Lasting bitter finish! Numbness from hops! Great! jake65 (1725), Williston, North Dakota, USA

Thick sheets of clumpy lacing. Nose is a dry floral hoppyness with light citrus. Flavor is fruity of citrus and mango into a full-on intense hop whallop. Tons of florals come through to dominate with very little sweetness. Lingering bitters, but not overly bitter. Just pure hop dominance. The tip of my tongue feels like it was scalded by the hop massacre. And I loved every bit of it! dwedin (238), Portland, Oregon, USA

They only made 200 cases and I think they were all gone in an hour. Pours orange brown. Small white head with larger bubbles. Head doesn’t last very long. Citrusy hop and oak aromas. Medium to heavy body. Perfect balance of malty sweetness and strong bitter but flavorful hops. Finish is dry with mild bitterness lingering. Palate cleansing and refreshing at once. Great IPA. | 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Feb 4, 2009 From BMan1113VR via trade. The pour was slightly hazy and light copper in color. A dense white head formed and produced sticky rings of lacing. The aroma was a nice blast of grapefruit hops with pine, pineapple and then softer caramel malts. The flavor was a well balanced combination of citrus and pine hops against a nice caramel malt backbone. Medium bodied mouthfeel, succinct finish. Very nice. Marsiblursi (1644), Göteborg, Sweden

Very piny, grapefruity aroma with fruity, soapy, spicy and malty undertones. Maybe a tiny touch of flowers. Strong grapefruit flavour with a medium malty body and a full afterbitterness. Fruity and piny undertones. A bit acid-ish and really dryish. Some fresh broken wood in both the flavour and in the nose. A nice one. RagallachMC (631), Cleveland, Ohio, USA

Aroma: Lots of pine, grapefruit, pineapple, peppery spiciness, floral, and a strong yeast aroma. Some bready malt, caramel, and a touch of honey. Appearance: Medium amber in color and quite hazy. White head was huge and creamy with ridiculous retention. Great lacing. Flavor: Strange. Kind of like a Belgian IIPA. Bready malt with a touch of caramel. Pine, citrus, banana, honey, pepper, floral, resin, and grass. Strong yeastiness. Medium-high bitterness. Dry finish. Palate: Medium-full bodied. Medium-high carbonation. Light alcohol warming in back of mouth. Overall: Really nice beer. Enjoyed the Belgian-like qualities. Only beef is that it was a little overcarbonated. thooper41 (384), Oregon, USA
