Feb 10, 2007 Updated: Mar 1, 2007(Bottle) Pours hazy orange. Very piny, grapefruity aroma with fruity, soapy, spicy and malty undertones. Maybe a tiny touch of flowers. Strong grapefruit flavour with a medium malty body and a full afterbitterness. Fruity and piny undertones. A bit acid-ish and really dryish. Some fresh broken wood in both the flavour and in the nose. A nice one.

Feb 7, 2007 22oz bottle via trade with bu11zeye. Aroma: Lots of pine, grapefruit, pineapple, peppery spiciness, floral, and a strong yeast aroma. Some bready malt, caramel, and a touch of honey. Appearance: Medium amber in color and quite hazy. White head was huge and creamy with ridiculous retention. Great lacing. Flavor: Strange. Kind of like a Belgian IIPA. Bready malt with a touch of caramel. Pine, citrus, banana, honey, pepper, floral, resin, and grass. Strong yeastiness. Medium-high bitterness. Dry finish. Palate: Medium-full bodied. Medium-high carbonation. Light alcohol warming in back of mouth. Overall: Really nice beer. Enjoyed the Belgian-like qualities. Only beef is that it was a little overcarbonated.

Feb 22, 2008 saved this one for rating #100. 22oz bomber: pours a very hazy light brown with minimal white head which is very unlike HOTD. aroma is strong in pine and hops and a slight bit of malt. flavor has a pretty good floral and pine style hops backed with decent amount of malt, but as all IPAs should is left unbalanced. very good IIPA.

Nov 28, 2009 22 oz. bottle purchased at Central Market in Mill Creek, WA. Pours a beautiful golden color with a white head. Flavors: Grapefruit, pine, and bold hops...nothing short of an excellent IPA.

Jun 29, 2008 Fantastic hazy sunset beer with solid head that left significant lacing. Extremely fragrant with grapefruit juice, lemon zest, and orange peel on the nose. Beautifully balanced brew with the hops offset by just enough malty sweetness. Caramel, toffee, and a little vanilla are there. Have truly enjoyed EVERYTHING from this brewer. Anyone have a bottle of Dave to spare???

Jul 26, 2009 Hazy light orange-brown with a thin light tan head. Citrus and pineapple hop aroma. Very smooth hoppy flavor. Fruity with citrus and pineapple. A little light and watery.

Jul 26, 2009 On draft at Henry’s Taproom on 6/26/09. Amazing citrus hops. Pours a dark hazy gold with great head. Super smooth with a a wonderful subtle bitterness. Incredibly drinkable double IPA.
