Light citrus hop aroma overpowered by sweet maltiness. Flavor is a nice balance between bitter citrus hops and sweet malts. Medium body with low carbonation and a syrupy mouthfeel. Ver nice. Definately for those who like a sweeter, maltier DIPA. phishpond417 (1953), Madison, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Nov 13, 2009 As typical Hair of the Dog fashion goes, every style which is anticipated (by me at least) to be a killer West Coast hop bomb, ends up being a mellow fellow of a beer. Something fresh and fine with pine notes and citrus fruits. But wicked creamy in the mouthfeel. im expecting something firm and astringent, but it suprisngly ends up being way more chill then i thought. LilBeerDoctor (1530), East Setauket, New York, USA

Aroma of grassy and tons of tart grapefruit. Flavor just like biting into a fresh grapefruit with some light melon and a hint of citrus and orange zest. Light hop bitterness. Nice flavor profile and easy to drink. Yum! fidel (1011), Livermore, California, USA

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jun 6, 2008 Really really hoppy. Strong floral aroma. Flavor of pine, grapefruit and slight spice. Slight bitter finish, but not too bitter. MrChopin (681), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jul 30, 2008 Pale orange-gold with small snow white head and dark sediment. Extreme hop nose with grapefruit, peach/caramel sweetness. Wet earth when all is said and done. The flavor is rather sweet with caramel and pineapple, but there are grapefruit citrus and slight bready malt to round it out. Lots of carbonation, and I like that with the fruits. Long sweet aftertaste with some thin piney notes. Bitter finish. Overall, nice IIPA. tastybeer (130), Washington DC, USA

Tastes of grapefruit, pine, and lots of hops. Would buy again (if I could get my hands on it!) Savvy1982 (322), Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Aug 29, 2009 Bottle, thanks bitbucket! Poured medium amber, classic IIPA color, nose was fresh and well-balanced, with a spicy hop note I associate with other IPAs like Racer 5 or Deschutes Hop Henge. Palate was bracingly bitter, with a charming, tingly acidity and spiciness that coated my entire mouth. I may have opened this a tad late as it was just starting to head south into Big Malt Country, but I got to t just in time. Very nice beer.
